The first out-of-state expansion for southern California’s Afters Ice Cream is now serving its Instagram-worthy treats a few steps from the gaming machines at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
Attracting social media fame for its technicolor creations, the $7.50 Milky Bun is the runaway hit for the ice cream brand. The bun features a pair of warm glazed doughnuts filled with a choice of ice cream and topped with options such as tajin powder, “Afters flakes,” chamoy, Cap’n Crunch, and caramel syrup.
Single scoops are priced at $6, while two scoops cost $8. Diners also have the option of ordering $10 sundaes, milkshakes, and floats. Among the ice cream flavors are Nutella crunch, Cookie Monster, French toast churro, Thai tea, frozen hot cocoa, and a vegan mango sorbet.
Launched in 2014 by Andy Nguyen and Scott Nghiem, and now operating in more than two dozen locations on the West Coast, the eastside store location offers seating at a couple of tables, and serves pints and quarts for take home orders, with prepackaged selections like jasmine milk tea, Saigon coffee, and cookie butter.
Afters Ice Cream, Virgin Hotels, 4455 Paradise Road. Open daily from noon to midnight.
