Restaurateur Freddy Hwang and his Sapporo Restaurant Group have found a flagship location for its growing portfolio of Asian-inspired casual dining brands.
Dubbed the Sapporo District on recent county permits, the multi-million dollar investment will scrap the vacant, existing structure and build on a 1.12 acre lot at 5599 Spring Mountain Road, near the intersection with Lindell Road.
The third local outpost of the very popular Master Kim’s Korean BBQ has already been announced as the District’s high-profile anchor, and will serve all-you-can-eat selections that customers prepare on their personal table grill.
Master Kim’s remains open at Town Square, and the Durango Arby Plaza in the southwest. Its spin-off venture, Mr Kim’s, arrived in Henderson last year.
Also planned for Spring Mountain: a yet to be revealed Japanese chicken franchise, plus a “retro karaoke concept”, leaving room for future tenants. Construction paperwork was filed earlier this month,
The restaurant company continues to operate Ichi Ramen House, Samurai Japanese Steakhouse, Sapporo Revolving Sushi and Kobashi Ramen & Curry and has created yet another new venture, confirmed to be coming soon to Centennial Hills .
Boba Master, a tea, coffee and dessert store, will replace a former Subway at the Centennial Gateway Retail Center and sit next door to Hwang’s own Sweet Poké, and its menu of sushi burritos and poke bowls.
An opening timetable for the new projects has not been released.
