Never expecting it would take two years to expand to Las Vegas, Chickie’s & Pete’s Crab House and Sports Bar is finally close to a September debut at its first expansion to the western United States.
The Phildelphia-based chain moves into the former Umami Burger space at the Sahara Las Vegas, and recently filed permits to install exterior signage, a common indicator construction is entering its final stage.
Chickie’s & Pete’s continues to seek applicants for its executive chef position, but early renderings revealed the restaurant will include two bars, fireplaces, room for a DJ, plus a William Hill Sports Book. Previous announcements have also referenced a virtual golf bay and an outdoor patio.
Diners can expect a self-described “elevated bar cuisine” menu, featuring chowders, cheesesteaks, a white pie topped with lobster meat, crabs, mussels, and chicken wings. The brand’s most famous dish, the trademarked crabfries, features a portion of crinkle-cut French fries sprinkled with crab-infused spices and served with creamy white cheese sauce.
Across the resort, male revue Magic Mike Live will debut on August 27, followed by the Azilo Ultra Pool and the opening of Chickie’s & Pete’s.
Later in the year, chef Guoming “Sam” Xin’s Noodle Den will arrive a few steps from the new sports bar followed by the winter launch of the eagerly anticipated Italian restaurant Ballo from chef Shawn McClain.
