Wynn Las Vegas didn’t sit on its laurels during the pandemic. Delilah, the over-the-top supper club debuted in July, and now the swanky resort reveals a stunning overhaul of the former Parasol Up into Overlook Lounge, Spirits & Aperitifs. The posh lounge on the casino floor features new cocktails from resort mixologist Mariena Mercer Boarini.

Despite its location near the hubbub of slot machines and table games, Overlook brings a hint of intimacy with its view of Wynn’s Lake of Dreams waterfall and the resort’s lush atrium. Designed by Todd-Avery Lenahan, president and chief creative officer of Wynn Design & Development, the lounge features décor in rich jewel tones inspired by the intricate mosaic flooring in Wynn’s atrium. Crystal chandeliers, period furnishings, and artwork decorate the space for an opulent drinking experience.

Mercer Boarini’s new cocktail menu offers five spritzes, five takes on cocktail classics, and three alcohol-free mocktails. She uses edible aperitif parfums inspired by international destinations in her spritzes that include the Amalfi with hints of Sicilian citrus and seawater; Morocco with Bombay chai; Milan, highlighted by jasmine and rose; and Paris with notes of red wine and pear. The Naomi comes with Grey Goose Essences White Peach Rosemary Vodka, cardamom, ginger, and Prosecco, finished with the Morocco aperitif parfum; the Evangelista combines Empress 1908 Gin, St. Germain Elderflower, citrus, and rosé sparkling, finished with the Paris aperitif parfum; and the Hudson made with El Tesoro Blanco Tequila, grapefruit liqueur, thyme, and pink grapefruit bubbles, finished with the Milan aperitif parfum.

Reimagined classic cocktails can also be found on the menu with choices such as the Brando, a take on the New York sour, made with Whistlepig Rye Whiskey, lemon, cardamom, and malbec wine; the Coco, an espresso martini, made with Van Gogh Espresso Vodka, Kahlua, espresso, Madagascar vanilla, bergamot liqueurs, and sage; and the Cleo, a margarita made with Casamigos Blanco Tequila, agave, dragon fruit, and lime.

Thoughtful mocktails include the Ava, a zero-proof Italian orange spritz; the Ruby, a sparkling pomegranate and Pompelmo spritz; and the Wilde, a sparkling yuzu lemonade.

Overlook Lounge is open Sunday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 3 a.m., and Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 a.m.
