Las Vegas Raiders and UNLV football fans now have a place to tailgate before home games in a spot close enough to Allegiant Stadium to walk. MGM Resorts teamed up with Bud Light on the Bud Light Beer Garden, a tailgate party between Mandalay Bay and the Luxor. Fans can head to the party before or after all Raiders and UNLV home games as well as select sports and entertainment events at Allegiant Stadium.
The 130,000-square-foot space located at the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Hacienda Avenue is free, opening four hours before game time. Fans can find interactive football challenges and life-sized Jenga and chess, a deejay, sports-betting suites from MGM Resorts, and food and drinks from International Smoke by chef Michael Mina and Ayesha Curry, Diablo’s Cantina, Public House, and Beerhaus. A $99 all-you-can-eat-and-drink package includes a buffet of stadium eats. Another VIP experience includes private VIP Clubhouses and two-level suites.
Throughout the season, pro sports legends will make appearances. Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch made an appearance at an August 14 event for the pre-season opener for the Raiders.
Fans headed to the game can book a parking spot at Mandalay Bay, the Delano, Excalibur, or Luxor as well. It’s pricey.
Upcoming dates that the beer garden will be open include UNLV vs. Eastern Washington on Thursday, September 2; the Las Vegas Kickoff Classic with BYU vs. Arizona on Saturday, September 4; and the Baltimore Ravens vs. Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, September 13.
