One of the last original destinations at Wynn Las Vegas just transformed through a sophisticated interior makeover and rebranded with a new name for guests seeking a cocktail off the casino floor.
Parasol Up will reopen later today as the Overlook Lounge, enticing visitors to enjoy spirits and aperitifs surrounded by a new dark mocha, brass, and moody interior design.
Replacing the chandeliers, carpet, and furnishings, the 3,093-square-foot Parasol Up was last overhauled in 2016, boosted by an estimated construction bill of $1,169,209.
With the new lounge ready to welcome customers, it won’t be long until sibling bar Parasol Down is temporarily closed at the base of the escalators leading to the SW Steakhouse and Lakeside restaurants and facing the 40-foot waterfall of Lake of Dreams attraction.
The lower level, 1,257-square-foot project has already allocated its own estimated construction budget of $800,000 to cover the improvements. The possibility of a new name has not been announced.
Both elegant lounges debuted with the entire resort in April 2005 and leave SW Steakhouse, Tableau, Red 8, and Wing Lei as the remaining original dining tenants.
