Tacos & Tequila, the Mexican restaurant that served an over-the-top brunch and margarita options galore for more than a decade at the Luxor, makes a comeback, this time taking over 4,000 square feet in the former Little Tony’s space at Palace Station. The restaurant brings back its fiesta atmosphere next to the resort’s sports book by the end of 2021.
Also returning, menu favorites such as the shrimp quesadilla, beef barbacoa enchiladas, and #1 Alambre, a filet mignon with applewood smoked bacon, Oaxaca cheese, and poblano chili, served on a corn tortilla. Also returning, margaritas including the T&T top shelf, made with pineapple chipotle, strawberry agave, and pomegranate acai, and more than 100 tequilas from Don Julio, Milagro, El Jimador, Clase Azul, Casa Dragones, Tears of Llorona, and Patron.
Little Tony’s from San Francisco-based pizza kingpin Tony Gemignani closed at the resort after a six-year run of serving pizzas, Stromboli, calzone, and pastas. Gemignani still has Pizza Rock at the Downtown Grand and at Green Valley Ranch, as well as serving at Allegiant Stadium.
Diablo’s Cantina took over T&T’s space at the Luxor in 2018 and went on to open a second location at the Mirage.
