Daniel’s Coffee & More, the home of “No Drama, Just Coffee,” relocated to New York City after two years on Silverado Ranch Boulevard, but a long-empty space next door will soon be home to a highly anticipated new tenant. Nakata Market of Japan takes over the vacant property at the Silverado Gallery retail center with a restaurant focused on casual Japanese dining. The self-proclaimed “best Japanese market in Las Vegas” plans to debut Nakata Sushi & Japanese Food later this fall, the first of two new expansions.
The essential local staple features Japanese snacks, groceries, frozen foods, packaged goods, and grab-and-go small dishes that include shumai, sushi, onigiri, and noodles. The original retail market launched on the west side in 2008 and opened a second store on Henderson’s Stephanie Street late last year. Described as a take-out destination, the operators have yet to to reveal the promised Summerlin location for Nakata Sushi & Japanese Food, but early paperwork lists the address at 1930 Village Center, close to Mazzoa Donuts.
The Daniel’s Coffee space comes equipped with a drive-thru and and the coffee shop earned a following for it lavender-infused-beverages. A replacement for the 2,000-square-foot Daniel’s Coffee shop has yet to be announced. The company is now back in business at 1050 Third Avenue in Manhattan, a few steps from 62nd Street.
