In a surprise move, former Las Vegas dining-scene fixture Carla Pellegrino is very close to a debut for her latest chef venture, bringing the Dough House Restaurant & Bar to Spring Valley. Pellegrino handles the menu of Italian cuisine with French flair at this restaurant run entirely by women. Her menus are still fondly remembered at Bratalian Neapolitan Cantina, their Henderson Italian restaurant that closed in 2018.
Yet to share many details, but tentatively pushing for a November 4 grand opening, Dough House sits close to the intersection of Russell Road and Rainbow Boulevard. The 4,243-square-foot space replaces the shuttered former homes of Mama Leonie, and later the Go Vegan Cafe,
Surrounded by the Eldan Center’s “Roman” exterior designed with 32-foot columns, the Brazilian-born, Italian-raised chef will oversee a “varied menu” accompanied by live piano music, a cocktail bar, and curated wine selections. The restaurant is first of three planned locations.
A previous Top Chef contestant, Pellegrino’s resume includes Rao’s at Caesars Palace, Bacio at the Tropicana, Meatball Spot at Town Square, Touché in Miami, and California's Majestic Yosemite Hotel.
