One of the most-anticipated Henderson restaurant debuts of the year now has an exact location. Sommelier, chef, and restaurateur Bank Atcharawan plans to open an off-shoot of his Spring Mountain Road restaurant Lamaii, making the move to St. Rose Parkway. Named Lamaii Modern Eatery on leasing documents, the Thai restaurant that is on the Eater 38 will fill the 2,800-square-foot suite 150 at the Gardner Plaza retail center, next door to Padrino’s Latin Bar & Grill and a short walk from BurgerFi and the similar-sized breakfast and brunch restaurant Scrambled.
Already promised, a 750-square-foot outdoor patio facing the parkway, plus Atcharawan will apply his sommelier skills to curate an affordable new wine list. While initially announcing a winter opening, the official Lamaii website installed a clock counting down to Sunday, November 7, and teasing, “something exciting is coming soon.”
Atcharawan’s other venture, The Patio Desserts & Drinks on Decatur Boulevard, remains temporarily closed while it is remodeled into a garden-themed wine bar. Originally planned to be called the Patio Wine Garden, permits were recently filed to install new signage, a common indicator a project is nearing completion.
