The Sahara opened its new pool over Labor Day weekend. Azilo Ultra Pool, part of the resort’s $150 million renovation, brings Moroccan décor with giant LED walls that wrap around the pool perimeter. The 10,000-square-foot, two-story LED screen spans the length of the pool’s south side.
The nearly 35,000-square-foot pool offers 10 cabanas and three bungalows outfitted with high-def TVs, private pools, spas, and restrooms. Another 11 daybeds, 14 lily pads, three bars, and lounge seating round out the pool that is open daily, including events on Friday and Saturday nights.
The pool offers breakfast and brunch dishes such as a breakfast torta, steak-and-eggs burrito, and crushed avocado, along with snacks including poke nachos, seafood aguachile, shrimp cocktail, and a variety of maki. Sandwich options include a popcorn shrimp po-boy, turkey club sub, and the Azilo burger.
Azilo also offers bottle service along with Champagne, beer, and wine, as well as margaritas, cocktails, and more.
The Sahara also plans to open Philadelphia sports bar Chickie’s & Pete’s, the Noodle Den from chef Guoming “Sam” Xin, and James Beard Foundation award-winning xhef Shawn McClain’s Ballo.
