Highly anticipated Bruster’s Real Ice Cream gets ready to open its first Las Vegas restaurant this November more than three years since first revealed. The wildly popular Pennsylvania-based ice cream parlor tapped Las Vegas resident Dave Soumas to open the first of multiple planned Las Vegas locations filled with a rotating roster of 30 flavors.
The first location heads to The Lakes at 2862 S. Durango Drive, and plans to feature a walk-up window and a 2,000-square foot “mini-park” featuring a shade canopy, artificial grass, and benches, as well as drive-thru service. A 630-square-foot kitchen dedicated to baking the crunchy waffle cones, custom cakes, and ice cream pies round out the space.
The family and dog friendly brand has grown to 200 stores since 1989, building its reputation on a rotating menu of more than 150 ice cream options that include sherbet and sorbet with non-dairy, no-sugar-added/fat free, and vegan options. Bruster’s delivers the dairy products used in its ice creams from its Titusville, Pennsylvania, headquarters directly to each store.
Waffle cones made in house, decadent sundaes, candy-filled blasts, and thick milkshakes fill the menu, along with customized cakes and pies. Catering also will be available via a mobile food truck and pop-up locations.
