Cabo Wabo Cantina will host a weekend-long Cinco de Mayo bash from Friday, May 2 through Monday, May 5. Look for La Bandera, a 24-ounce daiquiri that will honor the colors of the Mexican flag with red, white and green daiquiri flavors, priced at $19, Dos Equis beer buckets priced at $21, and Fireball shots, priced at $5.
Cantina Laredo has a top-shelf ‘Rita made with Avion Tequila for $6, as well as $4 house ‘Ritas and $2 draft beers May 2-5. Two exclusive Cinco de Mayo-themed cocktails include the Cinco Mas ‘Rita with Cabo Wabo, Hornitos, Herradura, Giro and Cointreau Orange Liqueur, lime juice and agave nectar and a Patron Silver sidecar, while the Pop-a-Rita is a strawberry rocks margarita made with Cabo Wabo Silver, Cointreau and fresh lime juice with a coconut popsicle stir stick. On Saturday, the joint turns into a party zone from 6 p.m. to midnight with specials on their Mexican cuisine. Chayo Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar at The Linq will host a nonstop fiesta on Monday, May 5, with Corona and shot of tequila for $8, $5 margaritas and $5 Coronas. Look for specials priced from $9 to $16, including Guacamole topped with pomegranate seeds and served with pork rinds or tortilla chips, pork sopes made with chorizo and queso fresco, quesadilla frita with Oaxaca cheese and poblano peppers, tostadas served with marinated pulled pork and black beans, chicken torta adorned with avocado and queso fresco and Mexican street tacos.
Diablo’s Cantina celebrates Cinco de Mayo from Thursday through Monday with live music from 1 Nation and DJ Sam I Am Thursday and DJ Dilemma Friday starting at 9 pm. Saturday, catch the Mayweather vs. Maidona fight (doors open at 5 pm), followed by live music from Mole Crudo and DJ Dilemma. From May 3-5, the Baja cantina will feature drink specials along with its Rock ‘n’ Roll Mariachi band, taking requests and creating mash-ups of classic rock hits and Latin serenades. On Saturday, May 3, and Monday, May 5, the restaurant turns up the heat with the beautiful Dos Equis girls on-hand to keep the party going. During the three-day celebration, Hussong’s will feature a 48 oz. Most Interesting Man souvenir pilsner for $20. Rockhouse celebrates Cinco de Mayo from Friday, May 2, through Monday, May 5. The bar will bring in a live mariachi band and offer $5 margaritas, $10 for a Dos Equis beer and a shot of Jose Cuervo tequila, and $1.50 tacos.
The Salted Lime
The Salted Lime throws a four-day party Friday, May 2, to Monday, May 5. The highlight, a Tequila Cazadores Mariachi Dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, with a live mariachi band and appearance from the Tequila Cazadores and Dos Equis promotional teams. Drink specials include the Most Interesting Margarita in the World, a 20-ounce cocktail served with a 12-ounce Dos Equis lager, for $7 throughout the weekend. Margaritas and drink bomb combinations will be offered for $2 and $7, respectively. Guests can also get two-for-one fajitas at the restaurant from Friday through Monday.
T&T Tacos & Tequila
T&T will host a four-day Cinco de Mayo fiesta featuring food and drink specials Friday, May 2, through Monday, May 5. The Sexy de Mayo celebration will culminate with an action packed fiesta and a “Cock-A-Doodle Duel” hosted by playmate Jessica Burciaga from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Monday, May 5.
