1. Market Grille Cafe
Saganaki, a Greek cheese simmered with lemon and brandy, then served table side; hummus; satziki with its yogurt blend of cucumber, dill, garlic and lemon; and babaganoush combining roasted eggplant, yogurt and lemon make up with appetizers at this Greek restaurant in the northwest and Centennial. Gyros and lamb souvlaki are customer favorites.
2. Yassou Greek Grill Cafe
Gyros are the specialty of this Greek restaurant on the west side. Diners can order them with a spanakopita plate, steak souvlaki or chicken souvlaki. Vegetarian options also make the menu.
3. The Hummus Factory
The Hummus Factory went from food truck to restaurant in 2016. Owner Tony Tabet serves chicken kabobs with a bed of onions and zucchini, lamb gyros, hummus sliders, eggplant dishes such as crispy eggplant fries, falafel and more. Even shawarma makes an appearance in the sliders. Vegetarians can try the stuffed grape leaves or the falafel plate. Frarej, a chicken dish baked with potatoes and tomatoes, as well as kafta and kibbi also make the cut.
4. The Fat Greek Mediterranean Bistro
Greek food fans should head to The Fat Greek for specialties such as moussaka, pasticcio, dolmades and lamb shank braised with tomatoes, onions and herbs served with buttered orzo pasta, all for less than $15. Those who can’t decide can go for a family-style grill plate that feeds four with a Greek salad, beef, chicken, lamb and a lule kebob with all the sides.
5. Estiatorio Milos
Diners can head to the Cosmopolitan for Costas Spiliadis’ Greek fare at Estiatorio Milos. The Milos special features fried paper-thin zucchini and eggplant served with a tzatziki sauce and graviera cheese saganaki, while the octopus comes with chickpeas from Santorini, capers and kritamo. Fans of Milos go for the loup de mer, cooked in sea salt with extra virgin olive oil and capers, served whole.
6. Stephano's Greek & Mediterranean Grill
Three locations of this Greek restaurant serve Las Vegas, UNLV and Henderson. House favorites include moussaka, a whole flame grilled chicken and the “Ultimate Greek Grilled Cheese” with feta cheese, mozzarella, garlic sauce, red pepper and mint flakes and a drizzle of olives toasted in between two pitas.
7. Meraki Greek Grill
