The downtown bar has reopened this summer with an expanded patio, new cocktails, and a ton of cool and oddball art tucked around every corner. Stop in for a drink inside, at its backyard garden, or in the new patio in front with a fireplace and live DJs.

The new European-style bar at Red Rock Casino and Resort boasts swanky red velvet, floral martinis, and caviar. The bar would be right at home on the Strip, with Old Vegas-style opulence, live music most nights, and three different bars for ordering signature cocktails or customizable martinis.

The Triple Down Bar

The local legend behind the preeminent Las Vegas dive bar the Double Down Saloon and the tiki bar Frankie’s Tiki Room has opened a new drinking destination inside the Punk Rock Museum. While P Moss’s new bar, called the Triple Down, isn’t quite as divey as his other haunts, it functions as a familiar type of space where punk rock fans and musicians can throw back shots with a PBR chaser and reminisce over the last 45 years of punk.

Snake through a row of hedges to the side of the Absinthe show tent in order to find the outdoor seating area that leads into a cozy wood-paneled speakeasy-style bar. The drinks here skew sophisticated, with suggestive names but classic flavors. The Big Duke Energy, pastel pink and sweetened with apricot, is grounded with scotch, port, and bitters. The Tantric Turnbuckle employs mezcal, aloe, lime, cucumber, and wormwood, for a cool take on a margarita. And the Gazerac — so named for the show’s Gazillionaire character — is a traditional sazerac. Absinthe tickets not required.

The Vault

The Vault at the Bellagio Resort and Casino is tucked away behind a nondescript doorway near the table games, just off the casino floor. You probably won’t be able to find it without a reservation. And you probably won’t be able to get a reservation unless you’ve demonstrated that you’re willing to drop some serious dough. The executive director of beverage for MGM Resorts International describes the bar’s offerings as more luxurious and more expensive than those found in any of the high roller lounges across MGM’s properties. The food is topped with caviar. The spirits are top-shelf and decades old.

Highlights on the cocktail menu include the Fields of Norway, a take on a gin fizz served in a Viking horn-shaped glass. The Green With Envy is a rum and matcha cocktail, presented in a glass teacup adorned with butterflies. And the Queen of the Garden is a pretty purple cocktail garnished with flowers.
