Legend has it that Casanova started his day with 50 oysters, perhaps for their aphrodisiac properties, maybe because he just liked briny bivalves. While tradition has it that oysters should only be eaten in months that end in R, refrigeration makes that old wive's tale obsolete. A menu of classic oyster dishes includes everything from the oysters on the half shell to the shooters and on to the pan roasts and cioppino. You can order your dishes on a heat level from 1-10. Oyster shooters run $4/shooter or three for $10. Shooters come with an oyster, bloody Mary mix and with tequila, vodka or virgin. Feel free to order all the same or mix it up with the $10 special.
