When James Beard-nominated chef Sheridan Su opens a restaurant, the Las Vegas dining scene takes notice. Known for his Hainan chicken rice at Flock & Fowl and his bao sandwiches at Fat Choy, Su’s Every Grain added a nine-seat Taiwanese restaurant to his portfolio. The compact space near Downtown is already famous for its braised minced pork belly served over a mix of brown, black, and jasmine rice, and its vegetarian bowl topped with tofu, kale, and broccoli.

Those in the mood for a Taiwanese breakfast will appreciate Yi Mei Champion Taiwan Deli’s 7 a.m. start time and a menu filled with morning favorites including sweet bean curd with peanuts, oyster omelets, and radish pancakes with eggs. The family-operated restaurant stays open until 9 p.m. and serves deli items such as steamed buns and fried stinky tofu.

Open until 2 a.m., Icy Juicy is a warmly lit Chinatown restaurant where diners can play board games while eating Taiwanese sausage, skewers, noodle soup, and cheese milk foam smoothies. Dessert choices include tiramisu and macarons.

Named for the Celsius temperature that the restaurant believes coffee should be brewed at, 85C Bakery Cafe at Shanghai Plaza is the first Las Vegas location of the popular Taiwanese brand. After having dinner at one of the many neighboring restaurants, diners can peer into the glass display cases at 85C and choose from baked goods such as egg tarts, mango creme brûlée, chocolate mousse, and strawberry cake.

With two locations in Las Vegas — and more than 500 worldwide — Taiwan favorite Sharetea serves milk tea, fruit tea, and blended drinks with optional toppings such as lychee jelly and aloe vera. Diners can find Sharetea in Chinatown’s Shanghai Plaza and in southwest Las Vegas.

Soup is the star menu item at Noodle Pot. Diners line up for spicy beef tendon noodle soup, wonton soup, and smoked chicken leg soup. Also on the menu are shrimp and pork dumplings with squash, eggplant ground pork over rice, and simmered beef tripe.

Outfitted with upholstered chairs and garden-inspired wall art, Yummy Box Cafe in Chinatown Plaza serves Taiwanese comfort food. The menu includes breakfast items such as pork bun sandwiches and egg pancakes, plus dumplings, hot pots, fried rice, and noodle soup.

When wandering the faux village streets inside Paris Las Vegas, diners may stumble upon a charming noodle spot designed to give the appearance of an outdoor cafe in Taipei. The restaurant is Noodle House, an Asian fusion outpost on the Strip. Taiwanese dishes here include sausage fried rice, beef noodle soup, and dumplings.
