A glance through the Eater 38, the highly elite group of the best restaurants in Las Vegas, shows just how devastating the shutdown of nonessential restaurants in Nevada has been for the city. Of the 38 restaurants on the last update, only 29 remain open for takeout and dine-in service, with é by José Andrés at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas just reopening on October 15. Some casinos reopened on June 4, giving diners more stellar options for dining, and others trickled open since. Other independent restaurants opted to close during the shutdown. The remainder still cover the entire city, span myriad cuisines and price points, and collectively satisfy all restaurant needs.
