Still standing after decades of service, among the some of the classic restaurants and bars every Las Vegan must try, five currently remain open for takeout and delivery, preparing trademark dishes and time-honed recipes.

All reluctant to shutter, staples such Piero’s Italian Cuisine and Peppermill Restaurant made the tough decision early, while destinations located inside resorts had the decision made for them.

Among the announcements promising a return at the earliest opportunity, Dino’s Lounge, Las Vegas’ oldest bar and open “almost 60 years straight and owned by the same family” shared with its regulars, “It took a virus to force us to temporarily close. We will be back and we hope to see you guys soon.” Diana LaForge and the Pamplemousse Le Restaurant staff also assured diners, “We look forward to seeing you back in the near future.”

Golden Steer is celebrating more than six decades in business this year and confidently predicted a swift return and “another 62 years in the same location.” The restaurant is also looking into the possibility of offering mail-order steaks during the hiatus.

Listed geographically, these local favorites are ready to serve and committed to keeping customers safe.
