Those celebrating New Year’s Eve in Summerlin can head to Hearthstone Kitchen & Cellar at Red Rock Resort for an evening of cocktails and upscale hors d’ouevres including goat cheese pound cake, cured salmon, and champagne pressed strawberries with mascarpone cream. Passed bites and an open bar will be available for $75 per person. There will be live entertainment starting at 5 p.m.

Standard dinner reservations will be accepted from 5 to 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve at Masso Osteria at Red Rock Resort. Seating for the New Year’s Eve 2018 gala begins at 9 p.m., featuring a four-course tasting menu of tuna tartare for the first course, mascarpone agnolotti for the second course, diver scallop for the third, prime filet mignon for the fourth course, and salted caramel budino for dessert. The tasting menu is $135 per person and includes a champagne toast at midnight, with a live DJ and dance party to ring in 2019. Optional wine pairings for the evening include Sommelier’s Pick ($55 per guest) and Reserve ($95 per guest). Cocktail attire is required.

Top of the World restaurant on the 106th floor of the Stratosphere will start the party early with a pre-firework seating from 4 to 8 p.m. that will include a New Year’s Eve a la carte menu, cash bar, and party favors. Highlights from the menu include Maine lobster and filet mignon carpaccio with black garlic-caper vinaigrette and brioche toast, priced at $22; a 14-ounce Australian wagyu rib-eye steak, priced at $79; pan-seared Alaskan halibut with soba noodle and bok choy cashew raisin soy butter, priced at $56; and a chef’s choice of Maryland crab stuffed chicken with Mary’s free-range chicken, zucchini squash fritters and a natural jus, priced at $41. The restaurant will require a $100 food and beverage minimum per person. Top of the World’s fireworks seating will begin at 10 p.m. and will include a prix-fixe menu, glass of champagne with dinner, cash bar, party favors, and views of the midnight fireworks show, starting at $299 per person with a four-course dinner featuring chef’s specials such as lobster bisque, shrimp cocktail, Ora King salmon, 10-ounce Harris Ranch filet mignon, and a chocolate cherry dessert.
